Fall Schedule and Parade Announcement.

First, I want to thank all of you that were able to attend the visitation and/or services for Elvin Koger. It was very impressive to see all of the red coats. I know that Elvin's daughter and family are very appreciative of the love and support that they were shown.

As of this point in time, (Sunday afternoon) Richard Ice is still at Cox South. He was moved out of intensive care but is not really any better. His Lady Sarah told us that there is no brain activity. He is breathing on his own and is not on any life support. Keep him and his family in your prayers, that is about all we can do at this point. When Richard was stricken, he was doing what he loved to do, teaching a couple of kids to water ski. He had taught them well enough that they were able to bring the boat back to the dock and get help.

Now for the schedule.

Some of us are going to OK City for Central States. This is August 27-30.

The next Band Rehearsal is on September 3, 7:00 pm. in the Band room. Please try to attend.

Mansfield's Wilder Days Parade is on September 13. That is a Saturday. The word I have now is that parade start time is 1:00 pm. Please be there about a half hour prior to start time so we can visit and get organized. Roddy and Teresa Clark have again extended their hospitality for a get together after the parade. Sharon will contact the Ladies later to get the arrangements in order.

September 17 is a scheduled rehearsal night. In addition, we will need to elect officers for the coming year. Please try to attend. Officers will be elected by those present and voting (according to our bylaws.)

September 25, is Business Meeting. This is a Thursday night. We will begin playing about 6:00 pm as usual.

Rehearsals in October are Oct. 1 and Oct. 15.

Rehearsal in November is Nov. 5. There would ordinarily be one on Nov. 19. There will be a Business Meeting on November 20, so we might skip the rehearsal on the 19th. More at a later date.

The next event is the practice on September 3. Hope to see all of you there, until then,

Practice, practice, practice,

Joe
